What Are These Plans?
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires public housing agencies like Housing Authority of the City of Madera to prepare three key documents each year:
Annual Plan
Outlines Madera Housing’s goals and updates for the year. It includes summaries of the Administrative Plan and ACOP.
Administrative Plan
Covers the rules for the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program — how to apply, qualify, and manage vouchers.
ACOP (Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy)
Explains how people qualify for public housing and stay eligible.
Plans, Policies & Schedules (Drafts)
These documents describe the Housing Authority’s Section 8 HCVP policies, programs and funding plans.
2026 Administrative Plan – Public Comment Period
The public comment period for the 2026 Administrative Plan is currently open. The Housing Authority of the City of Madera invites residents, participants, landlords, and community members to review the proposed changes and submit comments.
All comments must be received by the public hearing date of July 8, 2026. Community members may submit their comments by following the instructions outlined in the Public Notice.
