Policy Statement

The Housing Authority of the City of Madera (HACM) is committed to nondiscrimination in housing and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, age, familial status, or physical or mental disability in the access or admission to its programs, employment, activities, functions or services. Therefore, HACM will make a reasonable accommodation or modification for individuals with disabilities when necessary to ensure equal access to HACM’s property and property amenities, programs, services and activities. Reasonable modifications include changes to a building, grounds or an individual apartment and reasonable accommodations include changes to policies, programs, services and procedures. HACM will provide accommodations or modifications as requested unless doing so is unreasonable.
