Farm Labor Housing

Farm Labor Housing Information

The Farm Labor Housing program is similar to the Public Housing program. However, the purpose of this program is to provide permanent rental housing for “domestic farm laborers”. A domestic farm laborer is a person (and the family of such person) who receives a substantial portion of his or her income from farm labor work. This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The Housing Authority has three separate housing developments in the City of Madera with a total of 100 rental units.
